SIMON HOLDEN - S.I.L.O.
(SOUTH ISLAND LIGHT ORCHESTRA)
Played like a string instrument, Trilogy is a beacon calling for its audience to draw near, touch and perform. Responding to improvised strum with a symphony of lights and sound, this tactile work is as much about interaction, as it is a pillar of beauty.
Trilogy is an imposing sculpture featuring three interactive light pillars which tower overhead. Infrared touch technology allows multiple participants to interact simultaneously with the slanting face of each pillar, drawing with light by hand. The reaction to touch is instantaneous creating real time control of colour, shape and sound. Synchronised sound effects accompany patterns of light, creating a unique soundscape for the sculpture. Discover the delight at your fingertips.
